T.J. Miller
​
T.J. Miller is the heart and founder of Ludus Academy of Martial Arts, bringing more than three decades of martial arts experience to the school.
He began his Jeet Kune Do journey in 1989 at Princeton Academy of Martial Arts and has continued to train, teach, and develop as a lifelong martial artist. T.J. holds black belt instructor certification at Ludus, along with instructor credentials in American Freestyle Karate under Alex Wilkie and through the Warrior Arts Alliance.
Before founding Ludus, T.J. co-founded Combined Forces Martial Arts in Robbinsville and served as Martial Arts Director at The Little Gym of West Windsor and Newtown.
His classes blend deep knowledge, technical precision, and a genuine passion for helping every student reach their potential.
Paul Cybularz
​Paul Cybularz is a dedicated martial artist, co-founder of Ludus Academy of Martial Arts, and black belt instructor with more than 16 years of mixed martial arts experience.
Paul combines his martial arts background with his professional experience as an acupuncturist and personal trainer, bringing a thoughtful and functional approach to movement, training, and personal development.
His classes emphasize practical skill, focus, mental toughness, and body awareness. Paul’s teaching style is both encouraging and demanding, helping students develop discipline, strength, and confidence both on and off the mats.
Nicholas “Bear” Bade
​Nicholas “Bear” Bade is a versatile martial artist with experience across multiple disciplines, including Jeet Kune Do, Muay Thai, Savate, Kali, and Shaolin Kung Fu.
He holds a Degerberg Academy 3rd Degree Black Belt and is a Jun Fan/JKD Apprentice Instructor, as well as a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
Bear teaches with infectious energy and a strong emphasis on adaptability. His multi-style background gives students a dynamic and practical foundation in striking, movement, and self-defense.
John A. Williams
John A. Williams brings both martial tradition and Renaissance flair to Ludus Academy.
A red belt at Ludus and co-owner of the New Jersey Renaissance Faire, John specializes in Historical European Martial Arts, also known as HEMA, and assists with MMA instruction.
His classes bridge historical swordsmanship and modern combat training, delivered with a mix of humor, precision, and passion.
Norman Taylor

Sifu Norman Taylor brings decades of expertise in Jeet Kune Do and Filipino Martial Arts to Ludus Academy.
He is a Level 3 JKD instructor through Tri-State, a former USA Amateur Boxing Coach, and a Savate Moniteur, Silver Glove. Norman’s instruction blends precision, creativity, and disciplined technical development.
His mastery of Western and Filipino weapons systems, including Bowie knife and Medusa knife techniques, provides students with authentic, effective, and highly focused combat training.
